The Awakening

“Lyotard’s thesis that a painting is a “transformer of energy” means to me that it transcends an impression, an expression, and is capable of changing its “vibrational potential”. He also said that painting is one of the last handicrafts in this civilisation. In this act I transform vibrational states, both my own and those around me; it can affect space, people and other circumstances that we cannot yet see or understand.

I capture the order and chaos of nature in a sometimes raw, sometimes transcendent mood. In my personal opinion, the best energy painting is one that is made from deep feeling, with painting and energy knowledge. The transcendent mood is often present when the weather changes or when the day fades into twilight. If we don’t want to become like robots, we need activity that connects our hands, hearts and brains, which are the organs of connection to higher consciousness.”
